In our groups, we were to present a 'pitch' to the rest of the class explaining the ideas for our film, displaying our photo storyboard and showing our sample scene. We were also given useful feedback from our audience for what we could include in our final project.
Here is a quick film to show us presenting our pitch to the class and the feedback from our audience.
As shown above, the feedback we were given from our pitch and sample scene was mainly positive, yet the constructive criticism we received was mainly due to the fact that the lighting was fairly poor so we will need to consider how the characters will be easily seen when outside at night. The positive criticism we received was that the music was used well and the cuts between the girl using the iPad and the fuse box were effective so we will remember this when filming our final film.
I think that presenting our pitch was extremely beneficial as we can now focus on the criticism in order to make our final film better and the positive criticism gave us the confidence to continue with the same story for our final film.
Here is the slideshow that we displayed in our pitch, as you can see in our video.
Overall, I think that this pitch was useful as we were given valuable feedback from an audience to gain other people's perspectives and what we could do in order to make our final film better.
