Today I made a quick sketch design for my poster. I considered the conventions from other film posters, particularly in the horror genre, in order to make the poster look realistic.
We were to think about colour, typography, photographs and where to place the title, release date etc.
Below I have scanned in the design for my poster. I have not added too much detail as I decided to experiment more on Photoshop with effects and colour before deciding on a complete design.
We have decided to name our film 'No Escape' as the girl is trapped in her house with the stalker and he cannot escape her nightmares and thoughts. In my poster, I have used the scene where the girl is driving in the car but I will take a photograph of the girl looking straight at the camera. I have placed headlights behind as if she is being followed and we can see the man's eyes in the rearview mirror.
The background of my poster will be black - conventionally used in horror posters - and I will include red or white fonts to stand out.
